- Besagew
- Large, sliding roundel, protecting joints on a human body.
- Lame
- A narrow strip or plate of steel, sometimes used in
armour to provide articulation.
- Lance rest
- A support for the
lance when couched; this was bolted to the right side of the breastplate and was often hinged.
- Ricasso
- The dull part of a
blade right above the
hilt. Made for
fingering. Not all
swords have it.
