- Edge
- The sharp, cutting part of a blade. Swords are single or double-edged.
- Gorget
- Also called a collar. Close-fitting plate protecting the neck, throat, and upper chest.
- Quarterstaff
- Long (6-10 ft), massive pole for personal defense yet very dangerous in skilled hands.
- Waisted-grip
- Specially shaped handle. Has somewhat wider middle and narrows towards the pommel.
