Also called pummel. A variously shaped counterweight to the sword blade, riveted to the end of the sword tang above' the grip.

Bardiche
Alsocalled berdiche. A pollaxe with a long, slightly curved blade, principally used in north-eastern Europe.
Locking gauntlet
Gauntlet with overlapping little plates fastened to a pin on the wrist.
Spaudler
A light laminated defence protecting the point of the shoulder and top of the arm, especially popular in Germany.
