- Counterfeit damascening
- Simpler form of damascening. Fine pattern is applied onto a surface of an armor piece.
- Grip
- The handle of a sword. Mostly made of wire, leather, wood, ivory, bone or horn. Also a method of holding a sword.

- Ricasso
- The dull part of a blade right above the hilt. Made for fingering. Not all swords have it.
