Arbalest
Also crossbow. Consists of a bow attached to an arched stick. Is powerful, low-trajectoried weapon. Fires a bolt (a shorter arrow).
Broadsword
Term usually stands for Medieval swords which is, in fact, wrong. This misnomer comes from Victorian collectors of the early 19th century.
Lance
Typical weapon of a man-at-arms. Firstly a long (9 ft) spear but later developed into a heavier and even longer form unsuited for infantry.
Doublet
A man's close-fitting jacket with or without sleeves, worn chiefly from the 14th to 16th centuries.
