Term usually stands for Medieval swords which is, in fact, wrong. This misnomer comes from Victorian collectors of the early 19th century.

Armor for the whole arm. Consists of the couter, vambrace and rerebrace.

Anglo-Saxon single-handed axe, used in hand-to-hand combat and also as a missile.
