- Fauld
- Armour (usually composed of horizontal lames) attached to the bottom edge of a breastplate to protect the abdomen.
- Waist lame
- A horizontal lamination in the breast or backplate at waist level.
- Waisted-grip
- Specially shaped handle. Has somewhat wider middle and narrows towards the pommel.
- Waster
- Also bavin or cudgel. Wooden practice sword.
