- Also cross-guard or quillions. The straight bar or guard of a Medieval sword.
- Haubergeon
- Hauberk ending between crotch and the middle of the wearer’s thigh. Has a sharp dagger-like hem.
- Riser
- Opposite of a fuller. Makes a sword more rigid yet with a flixible spine.

- A mail collar common in the fifteenth century.
