Also called bascinet, basnet. An open-faced helmet with a globular or conical skull enclosing the sides of the face and neck. Usually worn with an aventail, and occasionally a visor.

Haubergeon: Hauberk ending between crotch and the middle of the wearer’s thigh. Has a sharp dagger-like hem.

Poleyn: Armor protecting the knee.

Skeggox: Anglo-Saxon single-handed axe, used in hand-to-hand combat and also as a missile.
