- Fauld
- Armour (usually composed of horizontal lames) attached to the bottom edge of a breastplate to protect the abdomen.
- Helm, Great Helm
- Helmet surrounding the whole head. Usually consist of 4-5 metal plates riveted together. Worn over a mail or a small steel cap.
- Morion
- Form of a helmet with a distinctively curved brim and a high crest.
