- Also cross-guard or quillions. The straight bar or guard of a Medieval sword.
- Longbow
- Archer’s weapon for launching arrows. Draws 30-36 inches and ranges over 300 yards. Very effective vs. unarmed enemies.

- Mitten-like removable extension of a sleeve on a hauberk.
