- Glaive
- A broad-bladed, single-edged polearm. Mostly an 18” butcher-knife on a 6 - 7’ pole.
- Pummel
- See Pommel.
- Plackart
- Part of armor. Covers the wearer's lower rib and stomach area. Attached with straps which allows better flexibility.
- Slow match
- A slow-burning cord of hemp or flax soaked in saltpetre and then dried. Used to ignite cannon and hand guns.
