A man's close-fitting jacket with or without sleeves, worn chiefly from the 14th to 16th centuries.

- Boss
- Also umbo. The round shaped piece of metal at the center of a shield. Protects the hand.

- A 'frog-mouthed' form of great helm which was worn specifically for Gestesch, bolted to the breastplate.

- Type of flail; consists of a metal ball attached to a short wooden handle by a chain.
