Brigandine
Form of coat-of-plates with hundreds of small plates, partially covering each other. Mobile yet protective.
Cross
Also cross-guard or quillions. The straight bar or guard of a Medieval sword.
Counterfeit damascening
Simpler form of damascening. Fine pattern is applied onto a surface of an armor piece.
Skull
The part of a helmet cover­ing the top, back and the sides of the head above the ears. It can also denote a simple metal cap.
