- Cod-piece
- Fabric covering for the groin, latterly padded. Its counterpart in
armour could be either of mail or, more usually, of plate.
- Jack
- Poor coat from layered fabric or leather will little plates inserted and stitched between the layers.
- Lance rest
- A support for the
lance when couched; this was bolted to the right side of the breastplate and was often hinged.
- Kapak
- Small throwing axe consists of a tanged metal head fitted into a flat wooden handle.
