- Comes in many forms and is single or two-handed.

- Quilted garment worn under armour from the early fifteenth century,
equipped with points to attach mail gussets and pieces of armour.

- Bronze, brass, or latten staples that attached to a bascinet to enable
the leather cuff of an aventail to be secured to the helmet.
